Problem

Fast fashion is defined as low priced but stylish clothing that moves quickly from design to retail stores to meet trends. On average, fast fashion makes up 88% of the clothing industry, seeing as its low quality these items aren’t lasting long therefore making up for 5% of landfill being textile waste. Sustainability is now harder to reach as more closing brands move trends quickly within their stores keeping consumers satisfied with new styles at equally low prices.

Insight

The current state of the environment is considered fragile, with fast fashion growing rapidly it means more and more clothing is ending up in landfill due to their low quality and only meeting last seasons trends. Awareness for fast fashion and its impact is slim in the public eye therefore harmful shopping is continuing at a fast rate, and spreading this message is becoming more needed.

Solution

Inside Out, is a new exhibition a part of the Wellcome Collection in London, focused on spreading all important awareness to the impact and harmfulness of the fast fashion industry. Using bold colouring and witty copy to draw the viewers eye and engage them into finding more about there all loved fashion trends.
